The Tierney Series DVDs is brought to you by one of the most well known families in the game with Coach Bill Tierney and his son Trevor. Learn from all their experience and knowledge as they share their love of the game with you!
Coach Bill Tierney, considered to be one of the greatest college lacrosse coaches of all time, has won six Division I National Championships at Princeton University, since he began coaching there in 1988. His first year at Princeton, the Tigers struggled and crawled their way to a 2-13 season. Four years later, with only one full recruiting class under his belt, "Coach T" and his Tigers went on to win Princeton's first National Championship in over 50 years. Over the course of the next nine years, Princeton would go on to win five more National Championships and much of their success has been credited to the revolutionary defense that Tierney invented in the early 90's. Today, Princeton continues to be one of the most feared teams in the country with Tierney still at the helm.
Trevor Tierney, former goalie for the Denver Outlaws and Team USA, has won at every level in lacrosse. Tierney is the only goalie in the history of the game to win a National Championship (1998, 2001 in college at Princeton University), a World Championsip (for Team USA 2002), and a MLL Championship (2005 with the Baltimore Bayhawks). His experience in and around the game is second to none.
In Tierney Lacrosse: Defensive Foundation you will be given the fundamental keys to unlocking your full potential as a lacrosse player. As Coach T will explain, you cannot become a star defenseman until you master the basics of the game. In this DVD, Tierney will personally take you through catching, passing, cradling, scooping, shooting, and individual defense. While you may have learned how to do all these basic skills already, this is your opportunity to see how the best coach in the game teaches them. Let Coach T give you his deep insights into each of these fundamental skills, along with some key drills, and build a solid base towards becoming a champion!
Tierney Series includes Offense, Defense, Stringing Mesh, Stringing Traditional and Father/Son Lacrosse.
